We are thrilled to announce that Principle has been shortlisted for ‘Employee Owned Rising Star of the Year’ in the UK Employee Ownership Awards, 2024, organised by the Employee Ownership Association (EOA).

Principle has been a people-centric business since its start in 1989, and became London’s first employee-owned cleaning partner in 2023 when an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) was created; making all employees (2,800+) the majority shareholder and putting the future of the business in their hands. It’s an honour to have our commitment to employee-ownership recognised; we pride ourselves on our employee engagement, culture and representation.

Tom Lloyd, Principle’s CEO, said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for this award and recognised for our move to employee ownership, which was designed to preserve the legacy of the company and ensure its future stability and prosperity. I firmly believe we have embedded an employee ownership ethos and culture, with our staff becoming life-long partners of the business.”

And commenting on behalf of the EOA, James de le Vingne – Chief Executive: “Congratulations to Principle Cleaning Services on being shortlisted for Employee Owned Rising Star of the Year. It’s a remarkable accomplishment that speaks volumes to the power of employee ownership evidenced through the exceptionally high calibre of entries we’ve received this year.”

Winners of The UK EO Awards will be announced at a gala dinner celebration on Tuesday 26th November at the Telford International Centre as part of the EOA Annual Conference. Good luck to all finalists!
