Yesterday, Principle Cleaning Services had the incredible opportunity to partner with BGIS at their Blue Zone Buildings event, and it was nothing short of inspiring.

Held at one of London’s most innovative working environments, 22 Bishopsgate, the room was filled with facilities professionals all keen to know about The Blue Revolution and how it’s being transported to the workplace to optimise health, productivity, collaboration, longevity, innovation and economic growth; thus creating Blue Zone Buildings.

Gary Bullen – President, introduced the afternoon followed by Greg Lock – Chairman, Lorri Rowlandson – Senior Vice President and Gordon Hicks – CEO, all of BGIS, who shared where the vision to create Blue Zone Buildings had derived from (the planet’s five Blue Zones which have ensured a higher concentration of centenarians and lower rates chronic illness rates), the impacts of ill-health to employers and the economy and how we, the people who manage buildings, have a greater impact on building users’ health than doctors do.

It was a powerful delivery and demonstrated how Principle’s commitment to healthy environments, through our people, sustainability and innovation focused initiatives such as hybrid-flex, the technology we use and our chemical-free and enzyme-based solutions, aligns with The Blue Revolution. Many years ago, our focus progressed from achieving clean and well-maintained environments to ensuring this endorses the health, productivity and satisfaction of everyone in our and our clients’ buildings.

Speakers from C-Polar, Guardian Water & Air and Principle partners Square Mile Farms and ABS (Advanced Bacterial Services) also showcased how they are transforming their client’s workplaces, and it was impressive!

A special thanks to BGIS for hosting such an impactful event and to all the speakers who shared their valuable knowledge. We’re excited to continue our partnership with BGIS; the impact we have on workplace health is undeniable and we are proud to be a part of a movement that values both the well-being of people and the environments they work in.
