People of Principle

Passionate about people, sustainability and innovation.

Since its inception in 1989, Principle Cleaning Services has believed that investing in people is key to success. Over the years, we have launched and refined programmes that support not only training and development but reward and recognition, mental health, wellbeing and both professional and personal support. As a result, our team members are engaged, driven and committed.

Working at Principle

Our recruitment process is designed to attract top talent who align with our core values and commitment to quality service. Recognising the importance of hiring the right people, we employ a comprehensive approach to assess both skills and cultural fit. To streamline this, we use advanced technology to verify candidates’ eligibility to work in the UK.

OnePrinciple

OnePrinciple is our dynamic, internal communications program and embodies our inclusive, one team approach. Designed to bring our diverse and dedicated community together. OnePrinciple celebrates success, promotes opportunities and spreads awareness on cultural topics, across many platforms including our intranet, monthly staff newsletter and emails.

London Living Wage

Principle is proud to be an accredited Living Wage Employer, committed to fair pay and the wellbeing of our team. We recognise the value of every employee and what they bring to Principle, and believe they deserve to be paid a wage that truly supports their life.

It isn’t just about wages; it’s about respect, dignity, and doing the right thing.

Training

Each employee receives foundational training specific to their role as a minimum. To maintain our competitive edge, we also offer training on a wide range of subjects, including carbon and climate change education and English as a Second Language (ESOL). We encourage every team member to continuously broaden their knowledge and strive for excellence in their field.

Reward & Recognition

With input from team members all across the business and our clients, Principle’s comprehensive reward and recognition scheme recognises teams and individuals, and encompasses the STAR Award, Employee of the Month, Team of the Quarter and more. These are awarded each month and all employees have a chance to rejoice in their accomplishments.

Charity

Principle’s charity partner since 2019, Richard House Children’s Hospice offers palliative care for children facing life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. Principle’s fundraising efforts have included skydives, bucket collections, and most recently, the launch of the OnePrinciple Foundation, which allows employees to opt-in to a monthly salary sacrifice scheme.

We are always looking for great people to join us!

“It’s clear that Principle values its employees, I’ve always felt that support and I’m proud to be part of such a great team.”
