Archie Named Finalist in PFM Awards Apprentice of the Year

We are delighted to announce that Principle’s Archie Trueger has been named a finalist in the Apprentice of the Year category at the PFM Awards, recognising his outstanding contribution since joining the company.

Archie joined Principle in 2023 as an apprentice and was promoted to Sustainability Coordinator at the end of 2025, reflecting both his impact and capability. A key achievement has been the development of the Product Matrix, created to reduce carbon generated from purchased goods and services.

Despite data challenges, Archie built strong supplier partnerships and introduced AI-modelled carbon data to enable accurate like-for-like comparisons. He led the rollout through training and user-friendly tools, embedding the Matrix across operations. This has delivered carbon reductions of up to 85% on sites, alongside measurable decreases in waste and plastic consumption across multiple clients. Additionally, his work has helped drive a 46% reduction in the company’s overall carbon footprint, demonstrating meaningful and lasting impact.

Alongside achieving his ISEP Associate certificate, he contributes to internal development programmes and sits on Principle’s Junior Board.

We are incredibly proud of Archie and congratulate him on being named a finalist in the PFM Awards Apprentice of the Year category!
