Observed globally each year on 5th June, World Environment Day is a vital platform for raising awareness and inspiring action to protect our planet.
To mark the occasion, Principle’s sustainability team visited several client sites, hosting interactive stands to promote environmental awareness and share sustainable practices in action across our business.
MUFG – Ropemaker Place
Our team highlighted Principle’s commitment to reducing environmental impact by showcasing a range of our most effective eco-friendly products. An interactive quiz tested visitors’ knowledge on recycling, carbon reduction, and enzyme-based cleaning, sparking insightful conversations and raising awareness of our evolving sustainability initiatives.

MYO – Dashwood House
At MYO, we had the pleasure of engaging with the team and tenants alongside BioHygiene. It was a great opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to sustainability and explain how the science behind the products works. We also discussed Principle’s decarbonisation strategy and how we’re upholding our high service standards while reducing emissions and adopting greener practices across our operations.

Landsec – 80–100 Victoria Street
Visitors at Landsec learned about BioHygiene, a non-petrochemical, enzyme-based cleaning product range we’re using across our client portfolio. We also showcased the Shetland Soap Company, a social enterprise employing adults with learning disabilities and autism, whose products many of our clients use in their washrooms.
A sustainability quiz, including questions about Landsec’s efforts and industry-wide best practices, added a fun and educational touch, with two lucky winners receiving £50 vouchers.

Francis Crick Institute
In collaboration with the Crick’s team, we participated in their World Environment Day event alongside our supply partners. With Mayflower Washroom Solutions, we raised awareness of BioHygiene, and with Glasshouse, we shared the inspiring story of a social enterprise that provides purposeful employment to women in prison through horticultural work.
Thank you to all our clients who took part. It was inspiring to connect with so many passionate individuals and share our mutual commitment to sustainability. We look forward to building on these initiatives and seeing how far we’ve come by this time next year!
