We are thrilled to be announced finalists, with our client Savills, within two industry-established awards; the PFM Awards, for ‘Partners in Net Zero Journey’, and the IWFM Impact Awards for ‘Social Value’.
Principle and Savills share the mutual goal that is to reach net zero and, by aligning Principle’s care for the environment and local communities with Savills’ mission to create a lasting, positive social impact on the communities in which it operates, we are already reducing our carbon footprint, fostering cleaner, greener communities, and driving positive change within the industry.
Collaboratively, we’re keen to expand Principle’s partnership with WorkFit – the Down’s Syndrome Association’s employment programme – and 100 and First, who work with young offenders to create a positive personal change and help prevent re-offending. So far, we have created employment opportunities for three WorkFit candidates across Savills’ sites and one employment opportunity in conjunction with 100 and First; a partnership that has been led by Savills.
Additionally, we have expanded our electric vehicle fleet by 15%, transitioned to a 100% renewable energy tariff (saving on average 1.4tCO2e per year), recycled operative uniforms weighing 168 kgs, introduced a bin tug to move the waste across one of Savills’ estates (which has reduced fuel usage by 520 litres and 1305 tCO2e per year) and introduced enzyme based daily cleaning products (which has resulted in saving >57 kg of plastic and 564kgCO2e), to name just a few initiatives.
We are incredibly proud to be recognised for our efforts and remain committed to pushing the boundaries of sustainability even further. Good luck to all finalists, we look forward to seeing you at the IWFM Impact Awards and PFM Awards ceremonies later this year!
