It’s been a very busy and successful week for us and we couldn’t be more delighted to announce another award win as, earlier this week, the Federation of Window Cleaners’ (FWC) awarded the Window Cleaner of the Year accolade to Principle’s Cristian Paredes Urrego!

A huge congratulations goes to Cristian, who was, very deservedly, presented with his engraved trophy, framed certificate and gift voucher at The Cleaning Show on Tuesday by FWC Executive Committee Member, Steve Kennedy.

Cristian makes for a very worthy winner for many reasons, but one that is particularly impressive is how he has climbed the ladder (quite literally) to progress within the company to site supervisor, despite being new to the industry when he joined Principle less than a year ago.

He has also gained multiple qualifications and undertaken training within ‘Working at Height’, ‘SAEMA Suspended Access Training’, ‘IPAF 1b+3a+3b’, ‘IOSH Managing Safely’, ‘Emergency First Aid at Work’, ‘Behavioural Health and Safety’ plus more!

Having nominated Cristian for the award, David Saville – MD for Principle’s window division said:

“Cristian has proved an invaluable asset to the window cleaning team! He often goes above and beyond; arriving early or staying late just to make sure the best service is always provided.

Since he started in 2022 we’ve achieved the highest rate of finished tasks in all the time Principle has had this particular building contract, and team dynamics have improved massively as everyone around Cristian sincerely enjoys working with him.”

The Federation of Window Cleaners 2023 Awards were judged and scored based on a number of factors, including industry achievements, client /customer testimonials and evidence of training and qualifications.

Well done, Cristian!
