After the success of last year’s staff summer party (and the first company-wide reunion since the news of Principle’s EOT creation was announced), there was no way the summer could pass us by without a repeat and on Sunday (25th June) Principle’s staff and their families came together to socialise, eat, drink and have fun in the glorious sunshine!

Held at Woolwich Works once again, everyone was truly thought of by the party’s organisers; the One Principle Ambassadors and Principle’s Board of Directors. An array of cuisines were served by external caterers including Indonesian street food, paella, burgers and pizza, which were complemented by delicious desserts made by the talented bakers we’re lucky to have in the business.

We were also joined by Amy Hunter from Richard House – Principle’s charity partner since 2019 – and many staff donated via card or the bucket collection (the amount raised is still to be confirmed).

Being a family-oriented business, we were delighted to have so many of our staff’s children/ young family members join us and they were entertained with face painting, fairground favourite ‘coconut shy’ and giant games connect four and Jenga.

However, the highlight of the day was undoubtedly Ruben Fernandes on the saxophone, Felipe Santo’s vocals, Hugo Amorim on the decks and Douglas Cooke on the dance floor who all did an amazing job of getting everyone into the party spirit and certainly raised the bar for Principle’s next get together.

It was a fabulous way to spend a Sunday, with everyone in the business invited, and everyone was in extremely high spirits! We now can’t help but wonder how we are going to top the fun-day’s finale; around 40 people doing the conga and dancing around the courtyard!

Lilia Lamberto, Divisional Managing Director commented:

“We had an amazing day on Sunday 25th June when we held our third staff party. We were joined by our colleagues and their families for a fun day in the sun with great entertainment, food, games… a few drinks!

I couldn’t be prouder of our team and the unity that is evident at these events.”
